Job Description

Project Operations Manager | Florence or Milan, Italy; Budapest, Hungary; Madrid, Spain; Warsaw, Poland; or Rugby, United Kingdom

Are you a natural operational leader who thrives on turning complexity into clarity and strategy into action? If you are ready to shape the way global projects are delivered, this could be the role for you.

GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional Project Operations Manager to join our Global Operations team, with flexibility to be based in Florence or Milan, Italy; Budapest, Hungary; Madrid, Spain; Warsaw, Poland; or Rugby, United Kingdom.

GE Vernova — The Energy to Change the World

With over 130 years of experience and proven innovation, GE Vernova is leading a new era of energy. We are electrifying the world while working to decarbonise it. Our name reflects our mission. "GE" carries a legacy of quality and ingenuity. "Ver" signals Earth's lush ecosystems, while "Nova" nods to a new era of lower-carbon energy we are helping to deliver.

Focused on the future, GE Vernova is accelerating the shift to reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy. We help customers power economies and deliver electricity vital to health, safety, and quality of life.

Our Electrification solutions modernise grids, enable renewable integration, and strengthen energy systems. From software to power conversion and storage, we help create smarter, more resilient energy networks.

Let’s Talk about The Role:

The Project Operations Manager is responsible for driving key operational initiatives supporting Global Operations to improve execution rigour, consistency, and performance across the HDNU Projects organisation. The role will lead efforts in data analytics and reporting, training repository development, project catalogue tool optimisation, standard work deployment, and process / QMS improvement.

This is a business operations role requiring strong hands-on analytical capability, rather than an IT or technical data specialist position. The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between detailed data analysis, operational reporting, and senior leadership communication.

This position requires strong cross-functional partnership with regional Poles and functional teams, as well as the ability to influence stakeholders and drive change across a complex global matrix.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Own and lead data analysis and reporting to support business reviews, metrics tracking, and operational decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized training repository to strengthen project execution team development and improve knowledge capabilities.
  • Lead project catalogue tool expansion and optimization, including identification of improvement opportunities and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Partner with Poles and functional teams to identify processes and associated QMS procedures requiring improvement, simplification, and standardization.
  • Drive the development, documentation, and deployment of standard work for HDNU Project organization.
  • Coordinate the monthly cross-functional metrics bowler reporting rhythm, ensuring timely updates, alignment, and follow-through on actions.
  • Influence and align stakeholders across functions, regions, and leadership levels to enable successful implementation of priorities.
  • Focus on the critical few business needs and drive structured problem solving to improve project execution effectiveness.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
