Organon is hiring a Project Packaging Support Engineer (FTC) to join our Transformation team in Cramlington, Northumberland. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in delivering a major capital investment project. As part of this exciting transformation, we are constructing a new manufacturing facility and installing multiple high-speed blister packaging lines to support future growth and innovation.
There are a number of sub-streams within the project, and therefore your duties will change accordingly. This may include design, build, testing against requirements, operational assessment, and implementation activities, for yourself and the team.
This role is offered as a site-based position in Cramlington, Northumberland, on a 24-month Fixed Term Contract.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of Transformation projects, including major and minor capital investments, contributing across design, installation, commissioning, testing, validation, and implementation activities.
- Manage and/or support packaging project activities within agreed timelines and budgets, including FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ, PQ and PV activities where applicable.
- Provide technical support for product transfers, tooling qualifications, packaging line moves, and equipment introductions, conducting impact assessments and technical reviews as required.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for new packaging equipment, tooling, and processes, supporting troubleshooting, fault finding, and resolution of technical issues.
- Ensure all engineering and project activities comply with cGMP, quality, safety, and change control requirements, including the generation, review, and management of project documentation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and external contractors to define scopes of work, coordinate site activities, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, process efficiency, reliability, and waste reduction.
- Support training, knowledge transfer, and capability development across the team, promoting new ways of working and operational excellence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
