Project Planner - Frankfurt, Germany
Salter Grange is recruiting an experienced Project Planner on behalf of our client, a European leader in construction solutions, delivering complex engineering and construction projects for some of the world's leading corporations across Enterprise Data Centres, Advanced Technology & Life Sciences, Hyperscale Data Centres, Data Centre Retrofits & Fit Outs, Fire Protection and Comms.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Planner to join a supportive, high-performing team on large-scale, mission-critical projects, with genuine scope to develop and reach your full potential.
Key Responsibilities of the Project Planner:
- Responsible for a project or portfolio of projects (regional/sectoral)
- Responsible for all aspects of planning, as defined by the Planning SOP
- Reporting to the Planning Department and to Business Unit/Project Management
- Developing and maintaining schedules for pre-construction, construction and commissioning
- Developing and maintaining progress databases, and progress reporting
- Milestone projections, and delay/float path analysis
- Earned Value Management systems
- Monitoring schedule performance and productivity, and auditing progress on site
- Attending schedule meetings, liaising with the client and subcontractors
- Preparation of tender schedules and histograms
- Leading planning meetings and supporting weekly workface planning systems
- Resource/cash loading of schedules
- Providing data for payment applications and completing contract review reports
- Responsible for the quality and accuracy of schedules and reports
- Flagging issues to relevant parties and advising on solutions
- Recording delay and disruption, and assisting in the preparation of claims and data for contractual disputes
- Travelling to projects as required, and training staff where needed
- Covering Senior Project Planner responsibilities when required

Essential Criteria for the Project Planner role:

- Background in a construction-related degree or trade
- 5+ years' experience in project planning on large construction projects
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent IT and software skills, including Oracle P6 and Excel
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and within strict deadlines
- Knowledge of, and commitment to, health & safety
