Job Title: Project Planner

Location: Glasgow

Contract: Initially 12 Months inside IR35

Hybrid: 3 days on site, 2 days home


Role Overview

The Infrastructure Integrated Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining integrated infrastructure plans for each Site Director area within Our Client's construct.

The role brings together key milestones, critical dates, and interdependencies across:

  • BM FNWP/FMP
  • Maintenance activities
  • DHDA Design and Safety Case requirements
  • Operational plans and programmes

Working closely with stakeholders, the successful candidate will identify risks, opportunities, and mitigation actions. Through the delivery of resource-loaded schedules and concise reporting, the post-holder will provide valuable support to the Strategic Programme and ensure the timely submission of integrated infrastructure plans into Our Client's strategic planning framework.


Key Responsibilities

  • Programme Management & Delivery Support
    • Collate data from multiple sources and integrate into Primavera P6 resource-loaded schedules.
    • Engage extensively with key stakeholders across organisational boundaries.
    • Develop and manage Primavera P6 plans for individual Site Directors.
    • Analyse, challenge, and report discrepancies, risks, issues, and opportunities within integrated plans.
    • Develop and maintain the monthly DHI-level CSI Integrated Infrastructure Plan.
    • Perform cause-and-effect analysis and run mitigation scenarios where required.
    • Work with Navy Command, Project Managers, and Our Client's stakeholders to maintain a single, accurate version of the programme.
    • Engage with Engineering and Compliance teams to understand task dependencies and interfaces.
    • Communicate effectively across the wider Client community.
    • Produce monthly reports covering progress, change control, impacts, and mitigation actions for CSI Steering Boards, Navy Command, and Our Client's stakeholders.
    • Submit the Integrated Infrastructure Plan into the Our Client’s Strategic Plan on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and robustness.

Essential Requirements

Experience

  • Primavera P6 knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to work independently and develop programmes with project teams.
  • Experience planning across all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Experience updating and reporting programmes on a monthly basis.
  • Experience reviewing and assessing supplier schedules.
  • Strong understanding of risk and opportunity management within planning and scheduling.
  • Experience working within a client environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC).

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Primavera P6 Practitioner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable Requirements

Experience

  • Experience working within an operational environment.
  • Experience working within secure environments.
  • Construction and implementation experience.
  • Ideally 4-5 years' relevant planning experience.
  • Experience managing schedules under NEC contracts.
  • Experience working with integrated programmes.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • NEC3 or NEC4 experience.
  • Project Management qualification.
  • Risk Management qualification or experience.
