Construction Planner
Location: Stourbridge, West Midlands
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We are working with a leading specialist contractor in the specialist commercial building construction sector delivering complex installation projects across a range of commercial and infrastructure environments. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Construction Planner to join their project delivery team.
This is a key role focused on planning, programming, and supporting the successful delivery of large-scale projects, offering strong long-term career prospects within a well-established and expanding business.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing and managing detailed construction programmes across multiple projects, working closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to ensure delivery is on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or MS Project
- Monitor progress against programme and implement corrective actions where required
- Produce and manage project cashflow forecasts and financial reporting
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to align delivery schedules
- Prepare and issue progress reports and programme updates to stakeholders and clients
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Support tender submissions with planning input and programme development
- Analyse delays and implement recovery strategies
- Provide guidance and support to junior planners where required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner within M&E, fire protection, or building services
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or MS Project
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing, methodology, and contracts
- Experience managing budgets and producing cashflow forecasts
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable:
- Experience working on fire protection or life safety systems
- Familiarity with NEC or JCT contracts
- Relevant qualification in Construction, Engineering, or similar
- CSCS card
