Role Overview
Working closely with Project Managers, the PMO Manager, and a cross-functional planning group to develop and maintain customer-facing NEC contract programmes, support continuous improvement within the Projects function, and ensure project and company documentation remains accurate, controlled, and up to date.
Guiding Principles
- Standardised, consistent formats and definitions in MS Project.
- Customers provided with up-to-date project programmes at least monthly.
- Project programmes clearly identify contractual dates, key milestones, and potential issues, ensuring concerns are raised at the earliest opportunity.
- Strong communication and collaboration with planning colleagues across the business.
- Accurate and controlled project and business documentation.
- Continuous improvement of project management standards, guidance, and processes.
- Maintaining accurate up-to-date information in D365 and other systems in place.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop, maintain, and communicate project programmes to support successful project delivery.
- Work closely with Project Managers and other stakeholders to ensure project information remains accurate and up to date, keeping the PMO always informed of project status and key developments.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and support the timely resolution of risks that may impact delivery.
- Produce project planning information, reports, and updates to support project and business decision-making.
- Maintain project, PMO, and business documentation, ensuring information is controlled, accurate, and accessible.
- Support the PMO Manager with day-to-day activities and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of project management processes, standards, guidance, and reporting across the business.
- Provide planning, project controls, and PMO support as required to meet business and project objectives.
- Monthly report to the Line Manager:
- Produce and maintain project, planning, and PMO reports as required by the PMO Manager and wider business.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on project performance, progress, risks, and key business metrics.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of project and PMO reporting requirements.

Who We Are Looking For
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project is desirable; candidates of all experience levels are encouraged to apply, as training and development will be provided.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- Experience with Power BI and Power Tools is desirable.
- Knowledge of NEC Contract Conditions.
- Experience with MS Project (or similar planning software).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience developing and maintaining project programmes.
