FJA Recruitment for Project Planner
FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading construction and infrastructure contractor for a Project Planner to support their project planning team across a diverse range of civils and infrastructure projects.
You will play a key role in developing, managing, and monitoring project programmes throughout the full project lifecycle, from early contractor involvement (ECI) and tender stages through to project completion. Working alongside senior planners and project teams, you will ensure programmes are compliant, accurate, and aligned with contract requirements while supporting successful project delivery.

Project Planner Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain project programmes using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Support programme development from ECI and tender stage through to project completion
- Monitor and update live project programmes, tracking progress and performance
- Carry out Extension of Time (EoT) and Clause 62 assessments where required
- Submit and manage programme updates to clients on behalf of project managers
- Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to build accurate and deliverable programmes
- Contribute to tender strategies and identify risks, opportunities, and solutions
- Ensure programmes include adequate time for safe mobilisation and site activities
- Report programme performance across all levels of the business
- Support continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned and best practices

Project Planner Requirements
- Previous experience in a planning role within construction, civils, or infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle stages and planning methodologies
- Knowledge of construction techniques and project delivery processes
- Ability to analyse programme data and identify risks and opportunities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work across teams
- Awareness of health, safety, and environmental considerations within project planning
