Help Shape One of Tarmac's Most Significant Transformation Programmes
Are you an experienced Project Planner who thrives on turning complex programmes into clear, actionable delivery plans? Do you enjoy analysing critical paths, challenging assumptions, and providing the insights that keep major projects on track?
We're looking for a highly organised and analytical Project Planner to support Project Falcon, a large-scale transformation programme at Tarmac. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside senior stakeholders, delivery teams, and programme leadership, ensuring robust planning, scheduling, and forecasting across a complex, multi-workstream environment.

You'll be responsible for:
Planning & Schedule Management
- Owning and maintaining the integrated project schedule for your area of Project Falcon.
- Developing and integrating detailed workstream plans across business, technology, data, testing, change and readiness activities.
- Managing task sequencing, dependencies, constraints, calendars, milestones and baseline controls.
- Updating progress and forecasts using information provided by delivery leads.
- Ensuring the programme plan accurately reflects current status and future delivery expectations.
Critical Path Analysis & Risk Management
- Monitoring critical and near-critical paths across the programme.
- Identifying schedule risks, slippage and dependency conflicts before they become issues.
- Analysing recovery options and recommending practical solutions.
- Assessing the impact of risks, issues and change requests on programme timelines.
Dependency & Milestone Tracking
- Managing key milestones, deliverables and programme commitments.
- Facilitating cross-workstream dependency reviews.
- Highlighting missing updates, unrealistic forecasts and unresolved scheduling conflicts.
- Ensuring stakeholders have clear visibility of delivery commitments and deadlines.

Iâm in my final year doing Economics and I donât know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer â it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donât need a masters. Letâs look at the ones youâd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet â that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
