This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project / Product Manager — PSP & Payment Integrations based in United Kingdom.
This role is ideal for a hands-on payments professional who understands payment integrations beyond the project-management layer. You will lead the end-to-end integration of PSPs, payment providers, and payment methods, from reviewing API documentation and configuring sandbox environments through testing, production launch, and post-release stabilization. You will work at the intersection of Product, Engineering, QA, business stakeholders, and external payment partners. The role combines delivery ownership with practical knowledge of APIs, transaction flows, authentication, webhooks, and payment operations. You will help shape priorities, manage dependencies, and ensure integrations are delivered reliably and efficiently. This is an environment with significant ownership, international payment infrastructure, and exposure to a broad range of providers and payment methods.
Accountabilities
- Lead end-to-end integrations with new PSPs, payment providers, acquiring partners, and payment methods, from initial technical review through production launch and stabilization.
- Review API documentation and understand integration flows, including authentication, API keys, signatures, requests/responses, webhooks, callbacks, and transaction statuses.
- Translate integration requirements into clear, actionable tasks for Development and QA teams.
- Coordinate credentials, environments, merchant configuration, technical dependencies, blockers, testing activities, and release readiness.
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA specialists, business stakeholders, and external payment providers to keep integrations on track.
- Oversee sandbox, staging, and production testing, troubleshooting issues and coordinating post-release stabilization when required.
- Manage the payment integration backlog in Jira, including Epics, Tasks, dependencies, priorities, and Jira Plans.
- Plan delivery timelines and team capacity while maintaining visibility of risks, dependencies, and progress.
- Maintain accurate and accessible integration documentation in Confluence.
- Contribute to prioritization decisions around payment providers, integrations, and payment methods.
- Use a practical understanding of payment lifecycles, reconciliation, and financial flows to support effective delivery and issue resolution.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with PSPs, payment gateways, acquiring, or payment processing, with direct involvement in payment provider integrations.
- Proven experience personally taking payment integrations from provider documentation and technical setup through testing and production launch, rather than managing them only at a high level.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, request/response logic, webhooks, callbacks, authentication mechanisms, signatures, and API keys.
- Practical knowledge of deposits, payouts, transaction statuses, status mapping, sandbox/staging/production environments, error handling, and integration troubleshooting.
- Understanding of reconciliation and basic financial flows within payment processing.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional delivery across Product, Development, QA, business teams, and external payment providers.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence, including backlog management, prioritization, dependencies, documentation, and planning.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, timelines, and technical dependencies.
- Ability to independently explain a payment lifecycle and the technical flow of a provider integration.
- Experience in iGaming, betting, crypto, or forex payments is a strong advantage.
- Additional experience with payment orchestration, routing, multiple simultaneous PSP integrations, international payments, settlements, fees, reconciliation, or AI tools for analysis, documentation, or project management is highly valued.
- Candidates whose experience is limited to general IT project management, mobile banking, CRM, lending, or theoretical payment knowledge without hands-on integration launches are not the intended fit.
