If you are a Project Pursuit Manager Engineered Solutions professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, Emerson's Measurement Solutions business has an exciting opportunity for you. This strategically important role, based anywhere in Europe with convenient access to Central Europe and a major international airport, is focused on identifying, developing, and winning new Engineered Solutions business opportunities across Europe. As a consultative sales professional, you will engage customers early in their project lifecycle, shape opportunities, influence project specifications, and drive pursuits through to successful order award.
You will work closely with customers, engineering contractors (EPCs), OEMs, end users, and Emerson sales teams across the region to position differentiated Engineered Solutions, including measurement and automation technologies integrated into engineered cabinet solutions. Success in this role requires a proactive hunting mindset, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to lead complex sales pursuits in competitive environments. While technical specialists will support solution development, your primary focus will be creating opportunities, building relationships, advancing pursuits, and securing orders.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Proactively identify, develop, and pursue new Engineered Solutions opportunities across Europe, with a strong focus on winning new business and securing orders.
- Lead strategic sales pursuits from early opportunity identification through contract award.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with end users, EPCs, OEMs, consultants, and key decision-makers.
- Engage customers using a consultative selling approach to understand business challenges, influence project requirements, and position value-added solutions.
- Collaborate with and, when appropriate, provide leadership and direction to in-country sales teams to maximize pursuit effectiveness and drive successful outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-functional pursuit teams, ensuring alignment between customer needs, commercial strategy, and technical solution development.
- Develop and execute pursuit strategies that improve Emerson's competitive position and increase win rates.
- Identify opportunities within industries such as Oil & Gas, LNG, energy, and other process industries where Engineered Solutions can deliver value.
- Drive opportunity progression, maintaining momentum throughout complex and often lengthy sales cycles.
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations, balancing customer requirements with business objectives.
- Maintain accurate opportunity forecasting, pipeline visibility, and pursuit management discipline.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer investment plans to identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with Emerson's values, ethics, compliance standards, and commitment to integrity.
Who You Are
You build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives while creating strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. You proactively seek new opportunities and take ownership of advancing them, demonstrating persistence and accountability in driving successful outcomes. You adapt your approach and remain effective when dealing with ambiguity, changing priorities, and complex customer environments. You consistently achieve results by maintaining focus on business objectives, influencing stakeholders, and navigating challenging negotiations with confidence and sound judgment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
