Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Project Quality Manager to lead quality activities across major engineering and infrastructure projects within a highly regulated industry. As a key member of the project team, you will take ownership of quality assurance strategy, oversee manufacturing quality activities, and act as the primary quality interface with clients and stakeholders.
This role is ideal for a quality professional with strong leadership capabilities and experience delivering quality excellence within the nuclear, construction, manufacturing, or energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all project quality assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Take ownership of quality standards, processes, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure effective implementation of quality management systems and project quality plans.
- Oversee manufacturing quality activities, inspections, audits, and verification processes.
- Drive process assurance initiatives to ensure compliance with contractual, customer, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor, analyse, and report quality KPIs to project and senior management teams.
- Manage quality-related communications with clients, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Support supplier quality reviews and oversee the resolution of non-conformances.
- Promote continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles across project teams.
- Provide leadership and guidance to quality personnel, fostering a culture of quality and compliance.

Qualifications
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Project Quality Manager, Quality Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Strong experience managing quality within manufacturing, construction, engineering, energy, or nuclear environments.
- Demonstrable experience leading project quality assurance and process assurance activities.
- Strong client-facing experience with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
- Experience managing manufacturing quality programmes and supplier quality activities.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills, including KPI monitoring and Excel reporting.
- Knowledge of welding procedures, quality records, and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of RCCM requirements.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ideally ISO 19443 standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills
- Nuclear New Build project experience.
- French language skills.
- Lean Manufacturing qualifications or practical implementation experience.
- Experience working with international clients, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
