Project Quantity Surveyor
Western Glasgow | Major £80m Project | Excellent Career Progression
Hays Construction & Property is delighted to be partnering with one of Scotland's most successful privately-owned construction businesses in their search for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a flagship development in Western Glasgow.
This is a rare opportunity to play a key role on a prestigious £80m project within a highly attractive and high-profile sector, working for a business renowned for delivering complex, high-quality projects and promoting talent from within.
The Opportunity
As Project Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial management of a significant package of works on this landmark development. Working closely with the Commercial Manager and wider project team, you will be instrumental in ensuring robust financial control, risk management, and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing subcontract procurement from tender through to final account.
- Preparing and submitting valuations, applications, and variations.
- Monitoring project costs, budgets, and forecasting.
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks and opportunities.
- Producing accurate cost reports and supporting project financial reviews.
- Negotiating subcontract accounts and maintaining strong supply chain relationships.
- Working collaboratively with operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.
About You
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Previous experience working within a main contractor environment.
- Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractor accounts and project reporting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ambitious, driven, and motivated to develop your career within a leading contractor.
