Project Quantity Surveyor – Landmark South West London Projects
Location: South West London
Salary: Up to £75,000 + Comprehensive Package

The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for two experienced Project Quantity Surveyors to join a leading residential developer across two major schemes in South West London.
I have been appointed exclusively to recruit both positions, giving candidates direct access to opportunities that are not being widely advertised across the market.
Two exceptional Project Quantity Surveyor opportunities across prime South West London — one delivering the final phase of a high-quality residential scheme in a highly sought-after location, the other forming part of a landmark £200m+ regeneration programme. Both positions offer significant commercial ownership, direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of prestigious, high-profile London developments.
Both positions offer genuine commercial ownership, strong exposure to senior management and a clear route towards Senior Quantity Surveyor level.
The Role
As Project Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of significant subcontract packages and workstreams from procurement through to final account.
You will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, maintaining accurate cost control and forecasting while proactively managing risk, change and subcontractor performance.

Working closely with experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Managers and the wider project team, you will play an important role in protecting commercial performance and supporting the successful delivery of the development.
Key Responsibilities
- Take commercial ownership of significant subcontract packages
- Manage packages from procurement through to final account
- Prepare tender enquiries and manage procurement processes
- Analyse subcontractor tenders and support commercial negotiations
- Manage subcontractor appointments and ongoing accounts
- Assess valuations, variations and change
- Produce and maintain accurate CVRs and forecasts
- Monitor budgets, commitments and project expenditure
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities
- Support value engineering and cost-efficiency initiatives
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and the supply chain
- Work closely with construction, design, technical and development teams
- Provide accurate commercial reporting to senior management
- Support and mentor Assistant Quantity Surveyors where appropriate
- Negotiate and agree subcontractor final accounts
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
- Around 4+ years’ Quantity Surveying experience
- Strong UK construction experience
- Residential or mixed-use project experience
- Background with a developer or main contractor preferred
- RC-frame experience highly advantageous
- Proven experience independently managing substantial subcontract packages
- Strong procurement, subcontractor management and CVR experience
- Experience managing packages through to final account
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders and project teams
- Ambition to progress towards Senior Quantity Surveyor level

Career Progression
These positions provide a genuine route into Senior Quantity Surveyor level.
You will be given increasing responsibility as the projects progress, including ownership of larger packages, greater involvement in commercial reporting and increased exposure to senior commercial management.
