We're recruiting for a Project Surveyor to join a leading contractor delivering a long-term planned maintenance programme for a major housing association in the West Midlands.

This is a secure, mature contract with a strong pipeline of ongoing work and future opportunities.

Projects are located approximately within a 15 mile radius of our Walsall office.

About The Role

As Project Surveyor, you'll be responsible for managing the commercial delivery of planned maintenance works from subcontract procurement through to final account. You'll work closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, commercially and in line with contractual requirements.

This role is ideal for an experienced Surveyor who enjoys building strong working relationships, influencing project outcomes and taking ownership of commercial performance across a live social housing contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial delivery of planned maintenance and refurbishment works.
  • Administer subcontractor packages, valuations, variations and final accounts.
  • Support project teams with commercial advice throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, operational teams and supply chain partners.
  • Monitor commercial performance and identify opportunities to improve project outcomes.
  • Ensure contractual obligations and commercial procedures are managed effectively.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
