We're looking for a commercially minded Project Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Birmingham and play a key role in delivering successful projects from inception through to completion.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced surveyor who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners to maximise commercial performance and project success.
🔑 What You'll Be Doing
As a Project Surveyor, you'll take accountability for the development and implementation of pre and post-contract commercial strategies, ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably, and efficiently.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Managing commercial functions and contract reporting
- Supporting procurement, subcontractor management, and valuations
- Producing monthly CVRs and commercial reports
- Managing cash flow, cost control, and value recovery
- Supporting the agreement of final accounts
- Ensuring contractual obligations and processes are completed on time
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
- Promoting health, safety, environmental and compliance standards across projects
- Supporting project teams to achieve commercial and operational objectives

👷 What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
- Experience in a Quantity Surveying or Project Surveying role
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent cost management skills
- Knowledge of construction methods, measurement, and valuation
- Experience managing subcontractor procurement and contracts
- Understanding of NEC contracts (preferred)
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- The ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- A proactive approach with a focus on delivering results
