Project Level Quantity Surveying Position
This is a project level quantity surveying position working for a top tier London cost consultancy.
About the Role
Our client is a fantastic employer offering ongoing professional career development, exposure to managing interesting and high profile stakeholders and they boast a great west end office location. They are looking for a talented cost manager or quantity surveyor with experience in commercial office fit out, CAT A and/or CAT B and a good understanding of corporate real estate. They work with developers and investors and major financial institutions as well as high end hospitality.
Purpose and Objectives of the Role
The Project Surveyor will be involved in all stages of the survey and/or construction process from inception to completion and will lead the project level tasks, with some support from Senior/Associate level. The Project Surveyor should be the primary point of contact for the project team and be competent in managing workload and project related tasks with minimal support. The Project Surveyor will be expected to work with and guide assistant surveyors where necessary.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Project Surveyor will report to the Associate / Director (where relevant) and the duties will include:
- Production of project related documentation (i.e., Estimates, Cost Plans, Reports etc)
- Chair meetings where relevant to your discipline
- Act independently with achieving timescales and requirements with minimum monitoring
- Be aware of and implement project processes and requirements.
- Liaising with internal and external project team on day-to-day matters.
- Take accountability for actions and have ownership of the task in hand
- Be competent in the delivery of day-to-day duties and relevant tasks, with guidance and assistance from Senior staff members where experience requires
- Keeping abreast of industry issues and developments in best practice.

Person Specification
- Ambitious and bright surveyor that is looking to expand on their experience to date in a growing team. Good work ethic including high motivation and energy levels.
- To have completed an RICS accredited degree or advanced in their studies, and to be Chartered or on pathway to being Chartered.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrates good personal management with a well organised approach to their work and is seen as efficient both within the office and externally by clients.
- Complies at all times with best practice.
- Displays trust and integrity in everything that he or she does.
- Successful at liaising with clients in a professional and proactive manner so they feel exceptionally well looked after and supported.
- Able to work as part of a team and individually. Collaborative in style.
