About The Role

Balfour Beatty is seeking a highly organised and proactive Site Administrator to join our UKCS Scotland team on the A9 Tomatin to Moy Project. This is a 12-month fixed term contract and offers an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of a major infrastructure project in the Highlands of Scotland.

As a key member of the project team, you will play an important role in ensuring the efficient operation of the site office, supporting project administration activities, managing workforce access systems and maintaining accurate project documentation. Working closely with operational teams, suppliers and subcontractors, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the project while contributing to the successful delivery of one of Scotland's most significant road improvement schemes.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing administrative support to the wider project team.
  • Managing site workforce inductions and access arrangements through the biometric site management system.
  • Supporting the efficient running of the site office, including the management and replenishment of office, welfare and PPE supplies.
  • Maintaining accurate project records and documentation.
  • Assisting with document control processes, ensuring project information is correctly stored, tracked and archived.
  • Liaising with site teams, designers, subcontractors and suppliers to support project administration requirements.
  • Supporting the preparation and collation of project reports and performance information.
  • Assisting with the management of project health and safety documentation.
  • Ensuring company procedures and project standards are followed at all times.
  • Championing Balfour Beatty's values and supporting our commitment to Zero Harm.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for a motivated and organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality administrative support.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience in a Site Administrator, Project Administrator, Document Controller or similar role.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and document management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the business.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach with a willingness to support the wider project team.
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience within the construction, civil engineering or infrastructure sector would be advantageous.
  • Experience of site access systems, workforce management platforms or document control processes would be beneficial.
  • A strong commitment to health, safety and achieving high standards of performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
