AOC Archaeology is seeking enthusiastic Senior Site Archaeologists and Project Supervisors to join our team in delivering large-scale projects within the Highlands, Central Belt and Fife over the next 6 months (with the possibility of extension and full time contracts).
These projects offer an exciting opportunity to investigate significant archaeological landscapes with the potential for extensive prehistoric, early historic and medieval settlement remains in Inverness, Glasgow, St Andrews and Edinburgh.
Role
This role is suited to experienced site archaeologists
- Archaeological evaluation and excavation
- Field recording and context documentation
- Survey and site preparation
- Finds recovery and processing
- Environmental sampling
- Health and safety compliance on site
- Assisting with post-excavation tasks where appropriate

About You
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Enthusiastic about archaeology and heritage
- Keen to develop their fieldwork skills and archaeological knowledge
- Reliable, professional and motivated
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
- Comfortable working outdoors in a range of conditions
- Good communicators with a positive attitude
- Educated to degree level in Archaeology or a related discipline (preferred)
- Holders of a CSCS card (preferred)
- Holders of a full UK driving licence (preferred)
