Purpose

The Project Subcontracts Engineer manages & coordinates subcontractor relationships, ensuring the successful execution of project subcontracts within budget, schedule, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • You are the key point of contact, facilitating clear communication between project teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • You support the tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and awarding of subcontracts, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • You ensure all contract documentation, approvals, and records are accurately maintained.
  • You support risk management by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential subcontract-related risks.
  • You contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting enhancements to subcontracting processes and strategies.
  • You provide regular updates and reports to project management on subcontractor performance and progress.

Education

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Law, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in subcontract management within the Oil & Gas industry, with strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficient understanding and knowledge of subcontracting principles, contract law, and industry practices.
  • Certification in Contract Management (e.g., CPCM, CFCM) is preferred.
