FM Conway Facilities & Estates Supervisor

FM Conway is currently recruiting for a Facilities & Estates Supervisor to oversee the delivery of civil engineering, building and maintenance works across our varied estate. As our Facilities & Estates Supervisor, you will supervise contractors and in-house teams, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. This is a permanent, full-time position with travel between sites as required.

Duties

The duties of the Facilities & Estates Supervisor role will include:

  • Supervising contractors and in-house teams undertaking civil, building fabric, refurbishment and maintenance works
  • Carrying out regular site inspections, quality checks and audits to ensure works are completed safely and to the required standards
  • Monitoring contractor performance against agreed specifications, programmes, service levels and contractual requirements
  • Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance activities across the estate, ensuring issues and defects are identified and resolved effectively
  • Reviewing RAMS, permits to work and other health and safety documentation, ensuring works comply with CDM Regulations and company requirements
  • Liaising with internal teams, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders to coordinate works and minimise disruption to operations
  • Monitoring project progress, costs, programmes and risks, providing updates to the Senior Contracts Manager where required
  • Supporting procurement, tendering and contractor appointments, while maintaining accurate project records, drawings and asset information

Skills and Experience

You will have proven experience supervising civil engineering, building or maintenance works, ideally within a facilities, estates, property, utilities, highways or large commercial environment. You will have a good understanding of construction methods, building regulations, maintenance practices, contractor management and health and safety requirements, including CDM Regulations. Experience reviewing RAMS, managing permit-to-work systems and overseeing temporary works such as lifting plans and access scaffolding is desirable. A relevant qualification in Construction, Civil Engineering, Building Surveying, Facilities Management or a related discipline is desirable, along with IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent. You must have a full UK driving licence and be confident using Microsoft Office and project management systems.
