Vacancy for a Project Supervisor in the Fuel Cycle Area (FCA) Infrastructure Programme

A vacancy has arisen within the Fuel Cycle Area (FCA) Infrastructure Programme for a Project Supervisor with a strong background in construction to play a key role in the safe delivery of complex decommissioning and infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on role at the heart of multi disciplinary engineering delivery, offering the opportunity to make a real impact in a highly regulated and safety critical environment.

As a Project Supervisor, you will supervise construction activities from planning through to handover, working closely with engineers, building supervisors, contractors, and stakeholders. If you thrive on responsibility, take pride in high standards, and enjoy coordinating people and projects on site, this role offers both challenge and professional satisfaction.

We will also be considering trainee project supervisor applications as part of this recruitment, salary will be dependent on experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supervise and coordinate construction works, including contractor management, work scheduling and commissioning activities
  • Ensure safety, environmental and security compliance, reviewing documentation, applying STOP when required, and responding to abnormal conditions
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to enable safe, timely project delivery and effective handover
  • Support project reporting, programme statusing, emergency response duties and relevant management appointments, including Permit Issuer and Risk Assessor

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience supervising trades teams and engineering projects through construction, installation and commissioning
  • Strong organisational, planning and coordination skills, with the confidence to manage contractor and internal resources
  • A positive, self-motivated approach with good safety awareness, sound interpersonal skills and the willingness to take initiative
  • Post specific capability analysis assessment
