Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in North Lanarkshire, is currently looking to recruit a Project Coordinator for an initial 3 month contract on a rate of £300/day (Inside IR35). This role will be mainly remote working.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support to business planning and reporting activities
  • Leading the delivery of defined smaller-scale transformation projects.
  • Providing project support to Project Managers, enabling them to focus on critical project management activities.
  • Oversee project scheduling, cost and quality, escalating when tolerances are exceeded
  • Support the management of risks, issues, dependencies and change requests, escalating as appropriate
  • Track and report on project progress against the plan and objectives
  • Ensure delivery of project tasks, meeting milestones, managing project team meetings (for allocated project) and initiation of corrective action to resolve or escalating obstacles

Essential Skills:

  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a project team, contributing to the successful delivery of project objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience facilitating and leading small project team meetings, providing updates, and engaging stakeholders.
  • Experienced in project controls, including project planning, monitoring progress, tracking risks and issues, reporting, and maintaining project governance and documentation.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with practical experience using Microsoft Project, Planner, Microsoft Lists and / or Excel to manage schedules, tasks, and project activities.

Desirable Skills:

  • Project management qualification or certification (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum).
  • Experience conducting or supporting user research activities.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps to support project delivery and workflow management.
