Job Overview

An exciting opportunity for a motivated and organised Project Support Coordinator to support the delivery of an innovative Accelerated Cancer Career and Capability Pathway for pre-registration nursing and allied health profession students.

The programme aims to develop and implement a nationally scalable education and workforce development pathway that embeds the ACCEND (Aspirant Cancer Career and Education Development) Framework within undergraduate education and practice learning. Initially piloted across the Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon and Gloucestershire (SWAG) Cancer Alliance, the programme will help students develop enhanced cancer and palliative care capabilities through specialist placements, simulation, mentorship and career development opportunities.

Working closely with NHS organisations, Higher Education Institutions, hospices, community providers and Cancer Alliance colleagues, you will provide essential project management, administration and coordination support to ensure successful delivery and evaluation of this programme.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual with excellent coordination and relationship-building skills. You will be highly organised, detail-oriented and committed to supporting innovative approaches to workforce development and education. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders and thrive in a collaborative environment where they can make a tangible contribution to the future cancer workforce.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide day-to-day coordination and administrative support for the Accelerated Cancer Career and Capability Pathway programme.
  • Support the planning, implementation and monitoring of project activities across partner organisations.
  • Organise and service programme meetings, stakeholder groups and workshops, including preparing agendas, papers and meeting notes.
  • Maintain project documentation, action logs, risk registers and programme plans.
  • Support engagement with Higher Education Institutions, NHS providers, hospices and community services participating in the programme.
  • Assist with the coordination and tracking of student placements, learning opportunities and programme activities.
  • Collect, collate and analyse project data to support reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare reports, presentations and project updates for a range of stakeholders.
  • Support communication and engagement activities, including events, newsletters and resource development.
  • Contribute to the development and dissemination of programme resources, toolkits and implementation materials to support wider adoption.
  • Support programme governance processes and ensure agreed milestones and deliverables are monitored and achieved.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
