Salary: £29,953 per annum + Excellent Benefits!
Contract: Fixed Term Contract – 6 Months (possible extension)

We are now recruiting for a Project Support Officer to join the team on a fixed-term contract and support the successful integration of the West Midlands Metro network's newest extensions into operational service.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in one of the region's most significant transport infrastructure programmes.
Working across Projects, Asset Management, Engineering, Operations and Health & Safety teams, you will help ensure that new assets, systems and infrastructure are safely and effectively transitioned into Business as Usual (BAU) operations.
If you have experience in project support, project administration, PMO activities, document control or asset information management, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and organisation are critical, we'd love to hear from you.
You will support the successful delivery of Metro projects through project coordination, administration, asset information management and document control.

The role will help maintain the Agility Asset Management Information System (AMIS), ensuring asset records, maintenance schedules and project documentation are accurate and up to date, while supporting governance, reporting and infrastructure handover activities.
As our Project Support Officer you will be responsible for:
- Provide project support across multiple programmes and projects, ensuring effective coordination and delivery.
- Maintain project action trackers, risk registers, issue logs, decision logs and project records.
- Organise meetings, prepare agendas, produce accurate minutes and monitor actions through to completion.
- Support project governance processes, reporting cycles, governance packs, performance dashboards and presentations.
- Liaise with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure project and asset documentation is accurate, accessible, controlled and up to date.
- Support Agile delivery activities, planning processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the Asset Transfer Process (ATP) and infrastructure handover activities.
- Maintain and update the Agility Asset Management Information System (AMIS), ensuring asset data integrity and accuracy.
- Input, validate and manage asset records, maintenance information and supporting documentation.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
- Work closely with Engineering and Maintenance teams to verify asset data and maintenance requirements.
- Support asset register management for network extensions and depot infrastructure.
- Assist with maintenance planning activities, work instructions and system notifications.

About You
We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative project environment and enjoys bringing structure, organisation and control to complex programmes.
In order to be successful in this role you must have:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Project Support, PMO, Project Administration, Business Support or similar role.
- Experience maintaining action trackers, risk registers, issue logs and governance documentation.
- Experience organising meetings, recording minutes and monitoring actions.
- Knowledge of project lifecycles and governance processes.
- Strong administration, organisational and coordination skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
- Experience using SharePoint or similar document management systems.
- Familiarity with Asset Management Information Systems (AMIS), Agility or comparable CMMS platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- GCSE English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above).
- Qualification in Business Administration, Project Management, or equivalent experience.
