We are looking to appoint a project support officer for a one-year fixed term or secondment to help us cover maternity leave in the Pharmacy, Optometry and Dentistry (POD) Commissioning and Contracting Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to support a newly formed team that commissions and manages pharmacy, optometry and dentistry services across Kent and Medway.

The postholder will provide administrative, coordination and project support across a wide range of commissioning and contracting activities, helping to ensure efficient day-to-day operations and effective support for providers, colleagues and stakeholders.

The role offers the opportunity to work closely with the project and commissioning team, supporting contract management, meeting administration, assurance processes, financial monitoring and project delivery. It is a great opportunity to get experience in a new area.

  • Provide administrative and coordination support to the POD commissioning and contracting function
  • Manage the POD contracting inbox, ensuring queries are responded to promptly or escalated appropriately
  • Organise meetings, prepare agendas and papers, and produce accurate minutes and action logs
  • Maintain contract records, documentation, databases and filing systems to ensure information remains accurate and up to date
  • Support contract management and assurance activities by collating information, maintaining trackers and following up actions
  • Assist with budget monitoring and financial administration, including maintaining spreadsheets and records
  • Support project delivery by maintaining workplans, logs and reporting information. Liaise professionally with contractors, providers, colleagues and stakeholders across the NHS
  • Produce routine reports, summaries and correspondence to support commissioning activities
  • Work flexibly across the wider POD team to support shared priorities and ensure effective operational delivery

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
