Compensation: £30,000 - £35,000 / year

Are you looking to develop your career in Project Management?
The Project Support Officer will provide entry-level administrative and coordination support to the Project OSCAR team. This role is designed to develop foundational project support skills while assisting with governance routines, meeting coordination, documentation management, travel arrangements, expense processing, and day-to-day project administration.
Working closely with Project Managers, Workstream Leads, and project team members, the successful candidate will help ensure the smooth delivery of project activities by supporting governance processes, maintaining project records, coordinating logistics, and providing high-quality administrative support across the programme.
Please note that this is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
Main Responsibilities
- Supporting PMO and project administration activities under the guidance of the Project Lead and wider PMO team.
- Supporting the maintenance of project plans, trackers, action logs, risk and issue registers, and document repositories.
- Providing administrative support for meetings, including managing calendars, coordinating invitations, booking meeting rooms or Teams sessions, and assisting with agenda preparation.
- Supporting project governance by capturing meeting notes, actions, decisions, and follow-up activities, ensuring updates are communicated in a timely manner.
- Providing travel and accommodation coordination for project meetings, workshops, and events in line with company policy.
- Supporting the maintenance of project records and documentation, and following up on approvals where required.
- Providing support with project reporting through the collection of updates, validation of information, and preparation of basic status reports and summaries.
- Supporting stakeholder communication by assisting with routine project updates and responding professionally to queries, while building confidence and experience in stakeholder engagement.

Requirements
- Good organisational and administration skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of project coordination, governance, and PMO support activities.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, trackers, reports, and project documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to analyse information, identify issues, and support problem resolution.
- Effective time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptable and proactive, with a willingness to learn and respond to changing business needs.
- Knowledge of project management principles, reporting processes, and administrative best practices.
