RSK Raw part of the RSK Group have an exciting new opportunity for a Project Team Leader to join our team in Cambridge, UK.
RSK RAW offers multi-disciplinary environmental protection and risk reduction services to a wide range of industries and clients across the UK, and are specialists in the provision of spill response, contamination investigation and remediation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet client service level agreements and ensure project targets are met
- Responsible for project driven invoicing
- Partake in responding to RAW’s 24hr helpline on a weekly rota basis
- Undertake fieldwork and manage others in undertaking fieldwork in accordance with RAW quality system and standard operating procedures. This will include supervision and spot checks of field staff
- Prepare complex technical reports, letters, proposals and general correspondence for director/principal review prior to client delivery.
- Project direction and supervision of staff working on local office projects including technical management and cost appraisal.
- Responsible for the timely delivery of projects in office/s of operational responsibility ensuring PM’s meet agreed budgets, delivery deadlines, and client communication requirements.
- Management of staff’s technical, commercial and project management responsibilities, maintaining staff motivation
- Technical management of all staff in responsible office/s and review projects and technical issues with clients as required
- Management of commercial risk issues present in your office/s, able to advise others on proactively managing these risks and assist in implementing risk management strategies.
- Demonstrate financial and market awareness, guiding staff in the need to save costs (overheads and project costs) wherever possible in order to improve company competitiveness, market position and increase profitability

Additional Information
- We operate a 24/7 spill response service for our clients. As such, you may be required to work out of normal operating hours, for which you will be compensated.
- Although the role is regionally focussed, there may sometimes be a need for travel and staying away from home to cover the needs of the business throughout England, Scotland, and Wales.
- There are opportunities available for collaborative working with other businesses within the RSK Group.

Qualifications/Experience
- At least 5 years’ relevant industry experience;
- Project management experience;
- A degree level qualification in a science / environment / land related subject;
- Membership of a professional body;
- Flexible attitude to work;
- Enthusiasm and drive to deliver the requirements of this role;
- The ability to work as an effective member of a team and on your own initiative;
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills;
- CSCS card;
- Full UK / EC driving licence (essential).
