An exciting role for a Project Technician Electrical to join Yorkshire Water’s Specialist Projects Team, delivering small projects from conception to handover.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory & Performance Leadership
- Develop cost-engineered solutions while complying with national/internal standards for design and lifecycle management.
- Ensure aligns with CDM regulations and acts as Principal Contractor for Yorkshire Water projects.

Project Management
- Direct small-to-medium design-and-build projects within the Specialist Projects portfolio.
- Drive health/safety/environmental compliance to align with standards, including:
- Hazard identification
- Risk assessments
- Site supervision

Operational Excellence
- Champion latest performance targets across electrical design and delivery.
- Guide teamwork to meet operational and business objectives.
Minimum Requirements
- Electrical Experience: Apprenticeship, degree, or ONC/HNC/BTEC in Electrical Engineering (alternative relevant qualifications accepted).
- Technical Skill: Strong grasp of:
- Work control (permit systems, POWRA, RAMS)
- Hazard assessment & risk management
- Site supervision
- Soft Skills:
- Ability to mitigate technical risks and resolve issues collaboratively.
- Proven workload/prioritisation and relationship management.
- Full UK driving license + flexibility for Yorkshire-wide travel.

Preferred Experience
- Proven experience of commercially/regulator-driven targets, projects, and water industry operations.
- Working in high-pressure environments; e.g., high-voltage equipment, CHP, or waste processing technologies.
- CITB SMSTS trained (with valid card).
