Project Technology Lead
RSHP is an international architectural practice which has designed some of the world’s most iconic buildings. Our portfolio of projects ranges from the renowned Lloyd’s of London building, a new distillery and visitor centre for The Macallan in Speyside, to The Leadenhall Building, an office tower which is home to the practice’s studio. Currently, we are working on a range of high-profile projects, including 99 Bishopsgate, a new commercial tower in the City of London; the Four Seasons Hotel in Taipei; the British Library Extension in London; and Bayeux Tapestry Museum in Normandy.
The culture in the practice is one of sharing knowledge and coming together for discussion and teamwork. We have over 185 exceptional people from all over the world in our offices in London, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Sydney and Paris who are working on projects in over 15 countries.
We are looking for a Project Technology Lead who will be responsible for all aspects of the setup, configuration, development, and futureproofing of the BIM or digital technology environment. Integration and interoperability with the practices’ design tools will be a requirement. You will act as the bridge between design, technology, project delivery and the practice’s leadership. This is a visible, influential and vital role for the future of RSHP’s practice.
Serving as the primary authority on Building Information Modelling (BIM), you will guide the firm’s adoption and implementation of all aspects of BIM including customisations, standards complete integration into the design and delivery process at RSHP. A thorough understanding of ISO 19650 Information Management standards will be important. You will evaluate emerging technologies, steer digital innovation, and ensure alignment between the organisation’s design philosophy, delivery processes, and structured data outputs in accordance with QA Management processes.
We seek an individual with strong expertise and interest in all aspects of AEC design technologies and R&D, with aspirations to be a leader in the industry. The highest level of quality and innovation is expected.
The position requires direct interaction and communication with architectural teams, including defining training programs and orchestrating the implementation of best practice. Regular engagement with senior RSHP staff across all aspects of BIM integration and strategy will be expected, alongside close collaboration with our overseas offices. You will also oversee third-party consultants and technology partners, including software and workflow specialists, and represent the practice externally at conferences, workshops, and seminars.

Responsibilities
Leading the Project Technology team, the role will provide strategic direction and technical leadership across BIM, digital design, standards, content and automation. You will work closely with project teams to support effective digital delivery, review and develop BIM Execution Plans, assess Employer’s Information Requirements, and ensure projects are aligned with ISO 19650, contractual obligations and robust information management practices.
A key part of the role will be developing, optimising and maintaining consistent practice-wide standards, templates, digital content and workflows across CAD and BIM applications. You will identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, scripting and emerging technologies, while ensuring that digital tools and standards remain practical, relevant and responsive to project needs.
You will also lead and provide expert guidance and support to project teams and BIM Coordinators, helping to resolve complex modelling, coordination and data-related challenges, and identify and define knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen digital capability across the practice and promote consistent best practice.
Working collaboratively with IT, Information Management, Document Control and other technology disciplines, you will help ensure that digital processes are aligned across the organisation. You will also manage relationships with external technology consultants and software partners, contribute to industry events and discussions, and provide recommendations to the Head of Technology on digital performance, innovation and future opportunities.
This is a senior, collaborative role for someone who combines strong technical expertise with strategic thinking, leadership and a genuine interest in improving how architectural teams use technology to design and deliver projects.

- Strong expertise in AEC design technologies, digital delivery and architectural project workflows, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and commercially aware way.
- A collaborative and confident approach, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with project teams, senior leaders, consultants and external partners.
- Strategic thinking, sound judgement and the ability to set direction, establish priorities and support consistent digital delivery across projects.
- A strong focus on quality, governance and continuous improvement, with an eye for opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk and strengthen project delivery.
- A supportive leadership style, with the ability to mentor and develop others and build confidence and capability across the practice.
- An open and forward-thinking approach to automation, emerging technologies and new ways of working, balanced with a practical understanding of project needs.
