At FG Library, we don’t just supply furniture, we design inspiring library and learning environments that shape communities, support education, and transform spaces across the UK and internationally.
With over 25 years of expertise, we are the UK’s leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of library interiors, working with public sector organisations, schools, universities and local authorities. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic Project Consultant to join our industry-leading sales team.
The Role
This is far more than a traditional sales position. As Project Consultant, you’ll be at the heart of exciting, varied projects, from initial conversations through to completed spaces.
You’ll work directly with clients to understand their vision, translate requirements into creative briefs for our in-house designers, and ultimately present and secure the final solution.
Expect a highly varied role with:
- Regular travel to customer meetings, project sites and stakeholders
- Collaboration with our Northampton HQ, Clerkenwell (London) showroom, and four UK manufacturing sites
- Opportunities to shape library spaces across England and Wales.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
