The Role

Responsible for supporting the existing Commercial Operations department to support planning, execution, and delivery from initial lead to quotation and conversion to fulfilment and invoicing.

This includes working leads, preparing and sourcing suppliers and contractors, engaging with clients and ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of progress. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support job management across both commercial glazing, to include but not limited to, the following systems:
    • Curtainwall Facades
    • Shopfront Glazing
    • Rooflight & Atrium Glazing
    • UPVC, Aluminium & Timber Windows
  • Managing and updating project and job documentation, reports and internal systems (Mercury & SharePoint).
  • Engage with clients, customers, suppliers and subcontractors on a daily basis to coordinate and enable the successful delivery of all works.
  • Act as the primary desk-based point of contact for subcontractors, providing clear communication, information and support throughout the delivery process.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activity, ensuring works are appropriately planned, scheduled and aligned with project requirements.
  • Work closely with Project Managers who are responsible for managing projects from site, providing them with the administrative, coordination and commercial support required to keep works progressing.
  • Prepare quotations and estimates for subcontracted works, ensuring pricing is accurate, commercially appropriate and aligned with project requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies for successful project delivery.
  • Quoting/Estimating, Ordering.
  • Proactively co-ordinate & manage all elements of projects with attention to detail.
  • Liaise with supply chain members ensuring their ability to provide the appropriate product/service & meet the programme requirements within the costs derived from estimating.
  • Assistance in the preparation and submission of RAMS.

Key Deliverables

  • Subcontracted works are effectively coordinated and delivered to programme, with issues identified and addressed proactively.
  • Strong, professional relationships are maintained with suppliers and subcontractors, supporting reliable delivery and high standards of service.
  • Project and subcontractor information is kept accurate, up to date and readily accessible.
  • Commercial and administrative processes are followed consistently, providing appropriate control without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Orders and subcontractor appointments are raised accurately and efficiently, with materials and services available when required.
  • Project cost reconciliation / analysis.

About You

  • Experience supporting the delivery of projects or operational workstreams, ideally within a service delivery, glazing, construction, facilities, maintenance or similarly fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. Confident communicating with suppliers, subcontractors and internal colleagues on a daily basis and can build strong working relationships.
  • Excellent eye for detail and conscientious.
  • Proactive Mindset.
  • Team player but also capable of working autonomously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Customer and results focused.
  • Self-Awareness & Personal Growth/development orientated.
  • Problem solving & decision-making skills and experience.
