An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Projects Lawyer to join a highly regarded infrastructure and projects practice in Bristol. You will work on complex, high-profile matters across the public and private sectors, gaining early responsibility, direct client exposure and the opportunity to develop within a collaborative and supportive team.

Your new firm

This leading international law firm has an outstanding reputation for advising clients throughout the full lifecycle of major infrastructure projects, from procurement and initial project development through to financing, operation and exit.

The firm's Bristol and London lawyers work together as one integrated Projects team, advising major investors, sponsors, contractors, lenders, technology businesses and public sector organisations. With a strong pipeline of work and an established position in the infrastructure market, the team is now looking to recruit a talented Projects Associate into its Bristol office.

Your new role

You will advise on a broad range of infrastructure, PPP and public sector projects, working directly with experienced partners and senior lawyers who are recognised leaders in their field.

  • Infrastructure and PPP projects across areas such as healthcare, education, student accommodation, defence and transport
  • Public sector contracts involving defence, telecommunications, broadband, energy efficiency, facilities management, technology and outsourcing
  • Advising clients on project procurement, development, financing, operation and exit
  • Drafting and negotiating complex commercial and project documentation
  • Supporting major bids, procurements and strategic infrastructure transactions
  • Building relationships with clients and contributing to business development initiatives
  • Taking early responsibility for matters while working as part of wider, multidisciplinary teams

The position offers exposure to sophisticated projects and nationally significant transactions, alongside the opportunity to develop your own client relationships and commercial profile.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a Projects Lawyer with relevant experience in infrastructure PPP projects, public sector transactions or closely related commercial projects work.

  • Experience of advising on infrastructure, PPP, PFI or public sector contracts
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and project management skills
  • A sound understanding of complex commercial and contractual arrangements
  • The confidence to work directly with clients and take responsibility for defined workstreams
  • A collaborative and commercially focused approach
  • A genuine interest in infrastructure projects and public sector work
  • The ability to communicate clearly and manage competing priorities
  • An interest in developing client relationships and participating in business development
