Internship Opportunity at BMW Financial Services

Project Placement – Placement Year (July 2027)

Location: BMW Financial Service, Farnborough

This role will focus on ensuring the BMW Group remains at the forefront of our changing and highly dynamic industry, through supporting, developing, and implementing The New Retail (TNR) initiative to maximize market potential and ensure the highest quality of business for the BMW Group. Based in the UK headquarters in Farnborough, you will be part of one of the largest and most exciting projects in BMW’s history and part of the wider transformation of the automotive industry.

What awaits you?

  • Contributing to the strategic direction of the BMW Group's business by working with the TNR project team.
  • Supporting the TNR project manager and team to manage project timelines with multiple business partners within the UK, Ireland, and Munich.
  • Collating and tracking potential risks or issues that could affect the roll out of the New Retail Project.
  • Coordinating and relaying local market input to the Munich project team for key business requirements to ensure they meet the group's operational and strategic requirements.
  • Monitoring progress of each of the local BMW Group workstreams (project areas) to ensure that progress toward the completion of the project is working in parallel with the Munich working groups.
  • Coordination of key project meetings and communications.
  • Opportunity to work with different areas of the business such as Sales, Finance, and Marketing to support them with their project deliverables and broaden your experience of BMW and business in general.
  • Supporting the delivery of the change management program for internal employees and retailers. This includes working on the development of workshops, training, and other events, and the delivery of these activities.

What should you bring along?

  • Studying towards a Bachelor’s degree and on track to achieve at least a 2:2.
  • Fully competent in using Microsoft Office software such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent spelling, punctuation, and grammar are essential, as is a high level of attention to detail.
  • A can-do attitude with the desire to go above and beyond.
  • An ability to utilize initiative and present suggestions and justifications, solving problems as they arise.
  • A creative personal flair with the ability to provide open-minded solutions within tasks.
