An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Oil & Gas / Energy Projects Lawyer
The firm has an established reputation across the global energy sector, advising major international oil companies, national oil companies, governments, investors and financial institutions on complex, high-value transactions.
With a genuinely international platform and a strong presence across the UK, Middle East, Africa and Central Asia, the team offers exposure to sophisticated cross-border work, direct client engagement and a clear pathway towards Senior Associate and beyond.
The Opportunity
Joining an internationally recognised Projects team, you will advise on a broad range of transactional energy matters, including:
- Upstream oil & gas M&A, acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures.
- Oil & gas project development, commercial agreements and infrastructure transactions.
- LNG projects, gas supply arrangements and related commercial contracts.
- Midstream and downstream energy transactions, including refining and processing facilities.
- Energy and project financing, including reserve-based lending and commodity finance.
- Emerging energy transition projects, including carbon capture and storage (CCS), hydrogen and sustainable aviation fuel.

The role offers the opportunity to work on landmark transactions across multiple jurisdictions, collaborating closely with leading energy specialists internationally.
The Ideal Candidate
We are interested in speaking with lawyers who have:
- 6+ years' PQE, ideally gained within a recognised energy, projects or corporate practice.
- Strong transactional experience within the oil & gas sector, whether across M&A, project development, financing or commercial agreements.
- Excellent contractual drafting, negotiation and commercial advisory skills.
- Experience advising on complex, high-value or cross-border transactions.
- A commercially minded, solutions-focused approach to managing legal and transactional risk.
- An interest in developing client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
Candidates with a particular specialism within oil & gas transactions, rather than experience across every area, are encouraged to get in touch.
