Role Overview

We are recruiting a Senior AI Prompt Engineer for a client delivering enterprise-grade AI solutions across automation software development and business workflows. The role requires strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and Claude.Code alongside proven experience in automation code development and PowerShell scripting.

This is a senior position for someone who can define robust prompt strategies while also delivering secure, production-ready AI-enabled engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, optimise, and maintain advanced prompts for Microsoft Copilot, M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio extensions
  • GitHub Copilot code generation, review, refactoring, developer productivity, and Claude.Code
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation system integration and AI-enabled workflows
  • Build and support AI-driven automation pipelines and developer tooling
  • Write, review, and maintain high-quality, secure, and scalable code
  • Integrate LLM capabilities into existing platforms, CICD pipelines, and enterprise systems
  • Define prompt engineering standards, patterns, and governance
  • Evaluate AI output quality, performance, security, and cost
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring where required

Essential Skills Experience

  • Senior-level experience in AI prompt engineering
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Microsoft Copilot
    • GitHub Copilot
    • Claude.Code
  • Strong background in software engineering and automation
  • Strong background in SQL Server
  • Proven experience in PowerShell script development, enterprise automation, administration, integrations
  • Proficiency in one or more of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, PowerShell
  • Experience building AI-assisted developer workflows, agents, or copilots
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
