Property Analyst
We are currently looking for a Property Analyst to be based in London on a full-time basis, reporting into the Group Head of Delegated Property.
In this role, you will drive insightful analysis and performance monitoring of our property portfolio, empowering Group Heads to make data-driven decisions on pricing, claims, and exposure. Bring your strong communication skills and analytical mindset to advance your expertise in data capture, analysis, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead and drive analytical output for the Property portfolio, profiling business and monitoring performance to inform strategic decisions;
- Manage and manipulate large, complex datasets to derive performance metrics, supporting in-depth portfolio analysis and year-on-year risk investigations;
- Collaborate closely with underwriting, pricing, claims, and exposure teams to develop and automate performance monitoring and portfolio management tools using internal reporting and data warehouse solutions;
- Prepare standard and ad-hoc management information (MI) reports, KPIs, and support performance reporting against plans, including for Syndicate business planning and regulatory requirements (Lloyd’s, Munich, PRA);
- Analyze pricing models and exposure data, validate parameters, and review pricing management information to support risk quantification and new business initiatives;
- Support and participate in project initiatives, developing innovative analytical solutions to enhance underwriting effectiveness, including post-event analytics;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Coverholders, Brokers, and internal teams across underwriting, claims, actuarial, binder management, exposure, compliance, and finance to strengthen trading and collaboration;
- Engage proactively across Lloyd’s and the wider market with peers and brokers to stay informed of market developments impacting syndicate performance;
- Contribute actively to Property team meetings and cross-functional forums within MRSL and MRSG, as well as external stakeholder interactions, supporting a collaborative team environment;
- Champion good Conduct practices and adhere to escalation procedures, supporting the Product Conduct Risk Strategy Group (PCRSG), Underwriting & Claims Sub Committee (UCSC), ExCo, and Board in delivering best outcomes for customers and policyholders.

Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrate an analytical mindset with the ability to manipulate datasets in Excel/PowerBI and derive KPIs to drive the property business forward;
- Possess highly developed mathematical and statistical knowledge;
- Apply detailed knowledge of actuarial methods and techniques to make reasoned judgements in a business environment;
- Understand a range of modelling techniques and their applications in pricing, exposure, and claims management;
- Exhibit a high degree of diligence and accuracy;
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the underlying principles of insurance and reinsurance;
- Maintain current Lloyd’s market knowledge;
- Manage workload effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues.
