We are seeking an ambitious Associate Solicitor to join a leading residential development team in Manchester.

Responsibilities

  • Advise housebuilders and developers on significant residential land acquisitions, including complex and strategic development opportunities.
  • Manage a broad range of development transactions, including options, conditional contracts, development agreements, and collaboration arrangements.
  • Support clients with land disposals, service parcel transactions, and funding arrangements connected to residential schemes.
  • Advise on strategic land projects and major urban regeneration developments involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Work closely with specialist colleagues across planning, construction, and disputes to provide a comprehensive service to clients.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with approximately 3–5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial property, residential development, or a related area.
  • Strong experience in property transactions, with a genuine interest in developing a career specialising in residential development and land acquisition.
  • Experience acting for housebuilders or developers is advantageous, although applications from strong commercial development lawyers will also be considered.
  • Excellent commercial awareness, with the ability to understand clients' objectives and provide practical, solutions-focused advice.
  • A proactive and ambitious approach, with the drive to develop your expertise and progress within a growing team.
