Property Consultant (Estate Agency)
Location: Northampton | Hybrid & Field-Based
About the Role
We are a growing independent estate agency looking for a motivated, personable, and ambitious Property Consultant to join our team.
This is a key role focused on building relationships with buyers and sellers, generating new opportunities, conducting viewings, winning instructions, and delivering an exceptional client experience from start to finish.
The right person will be confident speaking with people, commercially minded, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of their results.

Key Responsibilities
Client Relationships & Sales
- Build strong relationships with buyers, sellers, and local clients
- Conduct property viewings and provide an exceptional level of customer service
- Qualify applicants and understand their requirements
- Follow up enquiries and maintain excellent communication throughout the sales process
- Negotiate offers and support clients through the journey to completion
Business Development
- Generate new valuation opportunities through proactive prospecting
- Build relationships within the local community
- Follow up leads and enquiries promptly
- Identify opportunities to win new instructions
- Attend networking events and local business events
- Proactively generate business through activities such as door knocking, leaflet drops, local networking, and referral generation
- Help grow the Gauld Estate Agents brand within the local area

Property Sales & Marketing
- Conduct property viewings and open house events
- Work closely with our Operations & Marketing Executive to ensure every property is presented to the highest standard
- Provide vendors with regular updates, feedback, and market advice
- Deliver a smooth, professional, and personal experience for every client
CRM & Organisation
- Maintain accurate records within our CRM
- Keep your sales pipeline organised and up to date
- Follow up outstanding opportunities promptly
- Ensure no enquiry or client slips through the cracks
Working Hours
This is a full-time role structured around client appointments, viewings, and business development.
The role includes:
- Regular weekday working hours
- Some evening availability for client appointments when required
- Some weekend availability, particularly for viewings and open house events
The schedule is designed around delivering exceptional service while providing flexibility to manage your diary effectively.
Salary
- £12,000 basic salary + uncapped commission
- Realistic OTE: £40,000+

- Based within the NN postcode area
- Holds a full UK driving licence

Experience
Estate agency or property experience is beneficial but not essential.
We would also welcome applications from candidates with experience in:
- Sales
- Business development
- Recruitment
- Hospitality
- Customer service
- Other client-facing roles
Most importantly, we are looking for someone with the right attitude, work ethic, and desire to build relationships.
