Property Property Inspection Clerk
Location: South West London, covering Wimbledon, Putney and surrounding areas
Salary: £30,000 plus car allowance
Hours: Full time
The opportunity
An established property management team in South West London is looking for a reliable and organised Property Inspection Clerk to join their team.
This is a largely field-based role, out and about visiting managed properties across South West London, carrying out routine inspections, taking photographs and producing clear and accurate reports for the Property Management team.
If you enjoy being out and about rather than tied to a desk, have a good eye for detail and are confident dealing with tenants and properties, this could be a great opportunity.
The role
- Carrying out routine inspections across a portfolio of managed residential properties
- Taking clear photographs and producing accurate written inspection reports
- Identifying and reporting any property concerns, including damage, damp, mould, leaks or general condition issues
- Checking smoke and carbon monoxide alarms where required
- Reporting any maintenance or property concerns promptly to the Property Management team
- Meeting tenants and providing a professional point of contact during property visits
- Assisting with move-in and move-out checks where required
- Key collection and delivery when required
- Ensuring property records and inspection information are accurate and kept up to date
- Managing your diary effectively to ensure inspections are completed within required timescales

About you
- Reliable, organised and comfortable working independently
- Excellent attention to detail and able to spot potential property issues
- Professional and confident dealing with tenants
- Able to produce clear and accurate written reports
- Comfortable using a smartphone for photographs, reports and communication
- Able to manage your own diary and workload effectively
- A full UK driving licence holder
Previous property, lettings, property management or inspection experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential. Attitude, reliability and attention to detail matter more here than a specific career history.
