Help us create healthier homes and stronger communities

At Salix Homes, we're more than a housing provider. We're committed to creating safe, sustainable and thriving communities where our customers can live well and feel proud of their homes.

We're looking for two experienced and customer-focused Property Inspectors to join our Healthy Homes team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of property maintenance, housing standards, and building defects who wants to make a real difference to customers' lives.

You'll be at the forefront of identifying and resolving housing condition issues, inspecting homes, diagnosing defects, managing repairs, and ensuring our properties remain safe, compliant, and well-maintained.

You'll play a key role in supporting our Healthy Homes approach, helping residents to live in homes that are safe, warm, and fit for the future.

What you'll be doing

  • Inspecting properties and assessing housing condition issues, repairs, and building defects.
  • Diagnosing damp, mould, and condensation problems and identifying sustainable solutions.
  • Undertaking HHSRS assessments and identifying risks to residents' health and safety.
  • Preparing specifications and recommending remedial works.
  • Managing cases from inspection through to successful resolution.
  • Monitoring contractor performance and inspecting completed repairs to ensure quality standards are achieved.
  • Supporting the investigation of complex repairs, complaints, and housing condition cases.
  • Building positive relationships with customers and ensuring vulnerable households receive appropriate support.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and partners to deliver excellent customer outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
