You will help people feel safe and comfortable in their homes by spotting problems early and putting things right fast. Your inspections will make a real difference to community safety and housing quality. You will be trusted to use your judgement and supported by a skilled team who value your ideas.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out pre and post inspections to ensure works are delivered to the required quality, compliance and safety standards.
- Liaise closely with surveyors, contractors and internal teams to coordinate works, resolve issues and maintain programme delivery.
- Undertake health and safety inspections, identifying risks and ensuring contractors comply with statutory, regulatory and company requirements.
- Review completed works, challenge poor workmanship where required, and drive timely resolution of defects and outstanding items.
- Provide clear inspection findings and technical advice to support effective decision making, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor contractor performance on site, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with agreed specifications and standards.

You have
- A minimum ONC in construction (or equivalent such as NVQ Level 3 trade qualification) and relevant experience in a construction-related field, with sound technical and property repairs knowledge.
- Experience inspecting homes and giving clear, confident advice.
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills to record and report findings well.
- Knowledge of building and planning rules and the Decent Homes Standard.
- A full UK driving licence and confidence using access equipment.

The practical bits
- You need a vehicle insured for business use, and we pay your mileage.
- You need a Basic DBS check that we pay for.
- Ideally located in West of London, enabling travel across and support for multiple patches within the region.
- You’ll work core hours between 9:00am and 5:00pm with flexibility built in.
