Property Intervention Officer
We are seeking an experienced Property Intervention Officer to coordinate all aspects of managing disrepair cases including responses to letters, appointing legal services, scheduling surveyor attendances/managing their diaries and commissioning of works. In this pivotal role, you will lead and coordinate GHA’s Alternative Dispute Resolution function, providing a clear and constructive pathway for resolving resident concerns before escalation. You will be organised, detail focused, able to work independently, using sound judgement to progress cases, resolve issues and know when to escalate in a busy repairs and maintenance service.
Your accountabilities will include but not be limited to:
- Coordinating repairs with surveyors, 3rd party consultants and delivery partners on investigation, remediation and response to cases (disrepair and Awaab’s Law)
- Maintaining robust records of visits and inspection findings on GHA operating systems providing review and recommendations for senior management on areas that need further improvements or actions
- Effective management of disrepair and Awaab’s law budgets, minimising avoidable costs, and increase value for money in the management of the function.
- Coordinate GHA’s response to Awaab’s Law, ensuring that residents receive clear, timely updates and are kept informed throughout the process.
- Support the Asset Team with the management and lessons learnt from stage 2 complaints and complex cases

Experience and Skills
- Experience/Knowledge of managing complex legal or disrepair casework including preparing and updating case files for internal and external use
- Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation, including Awaab’s Law, building regulation, standards and health and safety at work requirements.
- Strong Stakeholder management and communication skills
- Analytical and logical skills with excellent problem solving
- Ability to manage conflict and handle challenging situations
