Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancer / Property Solicitor to join their busy and expanding conveyancing department.
You will be responsible for managing residential property transactions from instruction through to completion, working closely with clients, lenders, agents and other parties to ensure transactions progress smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Manage residential property transactions from instruction through to completion
- Handle residential sales and purchases
- Draft contracts and review property documentation
- Identify title issues and raise and respond to enquiries
- Deal with transfers of equity and related client and lender requirements
- Handle planning and property-related enquiries
- Process mortgage redemptions
- Deal with property searches and associated documentation
- Use the Land Registry portal for documents, SIMs and registrations
- Submit SDLT applications through HMRC
- Maintain accurate records on the LEAP database
- Liaise with the accounts team as required
- Provide regular updates to clients and other parties throughout the transaction
- Manage a caseload independently and ensure matters progress to completion within required timescales

Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or experienced Conveyancer
- At least 3 years' experience in residential conveyancing/property law
- Strong practical knowledge of residential property transactions
- Experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload independently
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Reliable, proactive and self-motivated
- Able to work effectively without dedicated assistant support

Additional information
- Full Time | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- £45,000–£50,000 depending on experience
