About The Role

The Property Lead will take ownership of the day-to-day management of Dyson Farming's diverse property portfolio, spanning agricultural buildings, residential properties, commercial units and estate infrastructure. Reporting to the Rural Asset Manager, you will ensure our assets are safe, compliant, well maintained and positioned to support the long-term needs of the business. You will work closely with tenants, colleagues, contractors and professional advisers to protect and enhance the estate and ensure its properties are managed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of the residential and commercial property portfolio
  • Develop and deliver property maintenance and investment plans aligned with business priorities
  • Coordinate property inspections, maintenance activity and the work of internal teams, contractors and external advisers to ensure assets are safe, compliant and well maintained, with accurate property and statutory records
  • Supporting property budgets, expenditure and cost control, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
  • Procure and manage contractors, consultants and suppliers, maintaining strong performance and service standards
  • Build effective relationships with tenants, agents, landowners, internal teams and other key stakeholders
  • Contribute to the effective day-to-day management of the wider estate, including residential, rural and leisure operations where required

Requirements

Skills and experience

  • A degree-level qualification in Property Management, Rural Estate Management, Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
  • Significant experience managing a varied property or estate portfolio
  • Strong working knowledge of property legislation, statutory compliance and health and safety requirements
  • Experience of property compliance, inspections, maintenance coordination and working with contractors or professional advisers
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage varied priorities, work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the portfolio
  • Experience in agriculture, rural estates or another land-based organisation would be advantageous
  • MRICS, FAAV or progress towards a relevant professional qualification would be desirable
  • Knowledge of planning, development and environmental regulations, and experience of residential and commercial portfolios, would be beneficial
