Property Litigation Lawyer 3+ Monmouthshire Competitive Salary + Hybrid Working

An established and growing law firm in Monmouthshire is seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Litigation Lawyer to join its Dispute Resolution team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated solicitor or FCILEx professional looking to develop a specialist practice in property litigation while contributing to a collaborative and client-focused environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and managing their own caseload of property litigation matters, working closely with colleagues across the firm, and supporting wider departmental objectives.

The Role

You will manage a varied caseload of property litigation matters, including:

  • Boundary disputes
  • Ownership disputes and TOLATA claims
  • Residential and commercial landlord and tenant disputes
  • Possession proceedings
  • Easement disputes, including rights of way, rights to light, and usage issues
  • Dilapidation claims
  • Land ownership disputes
  • Leasehold extension matters
  • Business tenancy matters under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954

Business Development

The successful candidate will also play an active role in developing the firm's property litigation offering by:

  • Attending networking events and building professional relationships
  • Developing new sources of work and referral opportunities
  • Supporting marketing initiatives and campaigns
  • Enhancing the firm's social media presence
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to identify cross-referral opportunities and raise the profile of the department

About You

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor or FCILEx
  • Experience in property litigation, civil litigation, or property law
  • A genuine interest in developing a specialist litigation practice
  • Confidence in networking and relationship building
  • Experience using social media and professional networks for business development
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to adapt to new systems and processes
  • A proactive, commercially aware, and team-focused approach
