An excellent opportunity is available for a Property Litigation Solicitor to join an established and highly experienced litigation team in Hertfordshire.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience working within property litigation, although applications will also be considered from solicitors with less direct experience who can demonstrate a strong understanding of the area and the ability to quickly develop. You will handle a high volume of contentious property matters, with the team's core workload centred around service charge and ground rent disputes, alongside wider landlord and tenant litigation. This is a fast-paced environment where you will be trusted with a substantial caseload and will need to be comfortable managing multiple matters simultaneously.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The role operates on a hybrid basis, with most of the team working two days from home per week. During your first three months, there will be a greater expectation to work from the Hertford office to support integration and development, although there is flexibility for the right individual. Commuting from London is viable due to the offices close proximity to a local train station.
