Job title: Property Litigation Solicitor NQ+

Location: Lancashire

Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified+ Solicitor with commercial property litigation experience to join a highly regarded Land and Property Dispute Resolution team for a market leading law firm with multiple offices in the North West.

The team is recognised in the Legal 500 for its technical expertise and high-quality commercial advice. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor to develop their career within a specialist and growing property litigation team.

The Role

As a Commercial Property Litigation Solicitor, you will:

  • Deliver excellent client service and high-quality legal advice
  • Manage matters with appropriate supervision
  • Draft correspondence, pleadings and court documents
  • Liaise with the Courts and other relevant parties
  • Instruct and work alongside counsel and expert witnesses
  • Attend hearings, client meetings and all-party meetings
  • Support senior fee earners on complex matters
  • Develop expertise across a broad range of property litigation matters
  • Support and, where appropriate, supervise junior colleagues
  • Work collaboratively across the wider team and firm
  • Participate in business development and contribute to the continued growth of the property litigation offering

The Team and Work

The team acts for a diverse client base, including:

  • Large property developers
  • Investment companies
  • Commercial occupiers
  • Independent business owners
  • Individuals across both commercial and residential property sectors

The work is varied, challenging and engaging, covering:

  • Landlord and tenant disputes
  • Lease renewals
  • Dilapidations
  • Break clauses and forfeiture
  • Restrictive covenants
  • Easements and rights of light
  • Trespass and possession claims
  • Real property disputes
  • Contractual disputes
  • Professional negligence claims involving property professionals

The team works collaboratively across multiple offices, offering flexibility to work from different locations while building strong relationships internally and with clients.

About You

We are looking for a qualified Solicitor who has:

  • Commercial property litigation experience
  • Experience across real property, landlord and tenant and contractual disputes
  • The ability to manage a caseload with appropriate supervision
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong client-facing and relationship-building skills
  • A collaborative and proactive approach
  • A genuine ambition to develop as a property litigation specialist
  • A willingness to get involved in business development and contribute to team growth
