Property Litigation Solicitor (3+ years PQE)

The Opportunity
A well-established and growing Legal 500 law firm is seeking an experienced Property Litigation Solicitor to join its busy litigation department.
The role can be based in London or Essex and will involve a broad range of contentious residential and commercial property matters.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who is comfortable running their own caseload and wants to join a supportive firm with an established property practice and a strong presence across London and Essex.
Responsibilities
- Manage a broad property litigation caseload from instruction through to resolution.
- Advise on commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes.
- Handle possession and forfeiture proceedings.
- Advise on lease renewals and other contentious lease matters.
- Handle dilapidations and service-charge disputes.
- Advise on boundary disputes.
- Deal with easements and rights-of-way disputes.
- Advise on restrictive covenants and rights to light.
- Handle trespass and nuisance claims.
- Advise on property ownership and land disputes.
- Conduct negotiations and alternative dispute resolution.
- Prepare matters for court proceedings where necessary.
- Work independently while receiving support from the wider litigation team.

Candidate Requirements
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
- At least 3 years PQE in property litigation, ideally around 5 years PQE.
- Experience handling both residential and commercial property disputes.
- Ability to independently manage a property litigation caseload.
- Strong landlord and tenant experience.
- Experience with possession, lease, boundary and/or easement disputes.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong client-management skills.
- Commercial and pragmatic approach to dispute resolution.
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a wider litigation department.
