Property Litigation Solicitor | NQ–4 PQE | Southampton, Hampshire

A highly regarded regional law firm is growing its specialist Property Litigation team in Southampton, offering the chance to work on high-quality disputes alongside experienced lawyers in a collaborative, supportive environment. Whether you've just qualified or you're a few years in, this is somewhere that genuinely invests in your development.

The Opportunity

You'll manage a varied caseload while gaining exposure to increasingly complex, high-value matters:

  • Commercial landlord and tenant disputes with genuine commercial stakes
  • Dilapidations, forfeiture, lease renewals, break notices
  • Possession claims and rent recovery
  • Boundary, easement, and adverse possession disputes
  • Leasehold enfranchisement and property-related professional negligence

Early client responsibility, strong partner support, and genuine opportunities to develop real expertise. You're not shadowing. You're actually doing the work, with proper backing.

The Firm

A highly regarded regional practice where Property Litigation is a key practice area, not a support service. Legal 500-recognised and genuinely respected in the market. They're growing because they're good, and they're investing in experienced lawyers to help build the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why This Works

Property Litigation is a core strength here, not a sideline. That means partners who understand the practice, clients with genuine disputes, and work that actually builds expertise. You're not processing templates or support tasks. You're handling real litigation.

The emphasis on supportive partners genuinely invested in your development isn't marketing. It's why they're growing. They understand that developing junior litigators properly builds a stronger team.

The legal 500 recognition shows this isn't a struggling practice or a volume operation. It's a firm that's respected, growing, and genuinely investing in people.

If you're an NQ–4 PQE property litigator looking for a team that will genuinely develop you, challenge you, and give you real opportunities to progress, this is it.
