Property Maintenance Operative
Location: Coventry City Centre
Pay: £16.00 per hour, paid weekly via PAYE through Adecco
Hours: 09:00am - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
Contract: Temporary, ASAP start - Mid-September

We're recruiting a Summer Maintenance Operative to support a leading student accommodation provider during the crucial summer turnaround period.
This is a hands-on role focused on preparing accommodation for the new academic year, ensuring rooms and communal areas are maintained to a high standard for incoming students and summer guests. If you have maintenance experience and enjoy practical work in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general maintenance and repair work across the site
- Assist with room refreshes and preparation for new residents
- Support move-in activities, including occasional heavy lifting
- Complete basic plumbing, painting and decorating tasks
- Undertake polyfilling, mastic work and light bulb replacements
- Perform routine safety checks and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Technician team and wider site staff
- Help deliver a positive experience for residents and guests

About You
- Previous experience in residential maintenance, facilities, property maintenance or a trade such as plumbing or carpentry
- Practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail
- Positive attitude and strong team-working skills
- Flexible and proactive, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Good communication skills and a professional manner
- Trade qualifications are advantageous but not essential
